September is National Apple Month. This is a great thematic unit to do at the beginning of the year. This book, Apple Cider Making Days by Ann Purnell [Millbrook Press, 2002] is a wonderful story about two children’s visit to an apple farm. Read about the cider making process and try some of these fun activities.
